The Red Deer & District SPCA offers a "Final Act of Kindness" service for that most difficult time - when it's time to say good-bye. Your pet family member can be memorialized in many special ways. We offer private and general cremations. We also offer various styles of urns so your pet can be lovingly surrounded.
There are many ways to remember your pets, don't be afraid to allow yourself time to grieve and to seek help with a compassionate understanding friend or counselor if you feel overwhelmed. Books are also available at local bookstores to help you through the grieving process too. Just ask the customer service representatives to show you books on this topic. Remember always, you aren't alone; there are many constructive ways to cope with grief.
