Put Paw Prints on Your Heart, Join the Pack!
Red Deer & District SPCA relies on memberships to assist with general facility operation costs. We also require input from our members so that we can best meet the needs of the many homeless animals and the community.

Annual General Meeting 
Open to all community citizens. You must be a member to vote.

Volunteer Appreciation Dinner
Without our volunteers we could not exist.  In conjunction with our Annual General Meeting we invite our many valued volunteers to join us for an evening of dinner and entertainment to show our gratitude for their commitment to our organization. 

April

Volunteer Appreciation Week
In April Canada celebrates national volunteer week.  The Red Deer community sponsors volunteer appreciation events throughout the city.  Please contact your volunteer coordinator for more information.   

May

Be Kind to Animals Week
Schools have access to many educational activities that promote “kindness.” Certainly one way to address bullying that is so prevalent in our community today.

Catch, Fetch, Release

A brand new fundraising event which involves some of our community's most prominent members!  Taking place Friday, May 13th, our SPCA will see people behind bars (of a dog kennel!) untl they raise enough funds to post "bail" for their release.  Click on this event's scrolling button on the front page of www.reddeerspca.com for all the details.

Annual Garage Sale 
Red Deer's largest garage sale will take place during the following days/times in 2011:

Friday, May 27 10 AM to 8 PM
Saturday, May 28 10 AM to 6 PM
Sunday, May 29 10 AM to 6 PM

The location of the sale will be 5239 53 Avenue, Red Deer (north of Superstore).

Walk N Wag

A new event to replace our SPCA's Bark at the Bend annual event, the first-ever Walk N Wag will take place on Saturday, June 11th, 2011.  A dog walkathon, scavenger hunt and carnival for the whole family, the event is sure to be a good time for everyone!  See the Walk & Wag scrolling button on the front page of www.reddeerspca.com to get all the information you'll need to participate in or donate to this initiative.

Blessing of the Animals
In honor of St. Francis of Assisi, patron saint of all animals.

Humane Education Week
A week set aside that encourages respect, empathy and compassion.

Pictures with Santa 
You can have your family picture taken in time for Christmas in a beautiful outdoor setting.

Pet Gift Baskets
A wonderful way to remember your own pets at Christmas as well as remembering Red Deer & District SPCA critters with your support.
